Founder Of Koenigsegg Can Actually Track Every Customer Car From His Phone

In 1994, a man had big dreams, and his dreams were building exclusive sports cars. This man was Christian Von Koenigsegg.

These dreams were so much more evolved than just the idea of incredible performance but also advanced technologies that add to that experience that is exclusive and only available to a handful of people. These were his two goals. Now it’s 2017 and it appears that he’s achieved both of his goals. At the Geneva auto show, he debuted the car and detailed its features and included the Koenigsegg owners’ app.

He spoke to CarBuzz he explained that with the help of modern technology it made him easy to engineer a car that co-existed with an app on your phone. This allows you to locate your car, with a GPS locating service and you’re even able to check racetrack stats and lap times. This uses over-the-air software updates to constantly keep up to date. Now isn’t that something? The future is here.

There is more, as the brains behind the operations Koenigsegg has a private application which gives the ability to locate every Koenigsegg that his company sells around the globe. I am aware this probably makes you feel uneasy but he doesn’t want to spy on you but explained it’s to enhance the ownership experience just a little bit more.

“It’s technically possible to place a camera inside the vehicles and I could see the drivers, but that’d be creepy,” Koenigsegg said. This was as the application showed about several orange dots of owners in the area who assembled at the Geneva Auto Show. This locator app only helps Koenigsegg and his team learn from their customers, either through personal feedback or through individual car stats from around the globe.

They sift through this data and determine how they can further improve their product to make the owners even happier. The car cost $2 million… If we all had the money we’d rush out and get one to add our very own Koenigsegg to the garage. Unfortunately, we can’t and we suffer not experiencing that winning customer service that the Swedish man with a big dream is determined to make a reality.
