GMC Has Refined Its Yukon Denali With Styling And Trim Enhancements For 2018

General Motors Company has announced the 2018 Yukon Denali line-up.

Duncan Aldred, Vice President of Global GMC said “Yukon Denali has always matched style with substance, and the enhancements for 2018 advance that legacy. The foundational elements of exclusive design, premium touches and uncompromising capability have made Yukon Denali an icon for nearly 20 years.”

The designers at GMC have created a multi-dimensional grille for the Yukon Denali along with a new optional real wood trim to the interior. Matt Noone the director of GMC Exterior Design stated “The new grille, which is flanked by HID headlamps and LED Signature Lighting, advances the design legacy established with the very first Yukon Denali in 1999,It’s a more exciting and sophisticated design, while remaining instantly recognizable as part of the GMC Denali family.”

Coming with a host of standard and optional features, these include;

  • A 6.2 litre V-8 engine producing 420 horsepower and 460 pound feet of torque, with direct fuel injection and Active Fuel management. The cylinder deactivation technology will remain to enhance efficiency.
  • A new 10 speed automatic transmission for improved performance. The new transmission offers a wider 7.39 overall gear ratio spread enabling a lower top gear ration and contributing to improved efficiency.
  • Stabilitrak provides electronic stability mode, towing mode, sway control, auto grade braking and hill start assist.
  • Magnetic Ride Control for improved motion control of the Yukon Denali’s body.
  • Standard 20 inch wheels
  • Duralife brake rotors
  • Automatic locking of the rear differentials.
  • Noise cancellation for a quieter interior
  • An 8 inch customizable driver display with a heads up display.
  • GMC infotainment system with navigation including Apple’s CarPlay and Android Auto.
  • USB ports and power outlets including a three prong 110 volt outlet supporting various electronic devices.
  • Heated and ventilated driver and passenger seats.

General Motors Company says that the signature Denali trim accounts for over half the sales of the Yukon vehicle. The trim is offered in the Yukon and Yukon XL models, the XL version coming in with a 14 inch longer wheelbase, this increases the third row legroom and double the room behind the third row seat. GMC’s 2018 Yukon Denali will go on sale this fall.
